We're Patrick and Dominick, the founders of Carevina. We're really glad you're joining the team.

This onboarding will walk you through four things:

  • Induction — read and acknowledge our key policies
  • Documents — upload your compliance documents
  • Declaration — confirm you've understood everything
  • You're in — access the full worker portal

  • NDIS Worker Screening clearance
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
  • WWVP card
  • First Aid certificate
  • Driver's licence
  • Proof of right to work
  • TFN declaration form
  • Superannuation choice form

Carevina Values & Code of Conduct

Carevina is built on four core values: Dignity, Consistency, Transparency, and Care. As a Carevina worker, you are expected to uphold these in every interaction.

Key expectations:

  • Treat every participant with respect and genuine regard for their wellbeing
  • Never discriminate on any basis
  • Maintain professional boundaries at all times
  • Do not accept gifts, loans, or money from participants or families
  • No personal phone use during shifts
  • Arrive on time — if late, contact the participant and Carevina immediately
  • Never work under the influence of alcohol or any substance
  • Follow participant support plans — no changes without approval
Incident Reporting Procedure

If someone is in immediate danger — call 000 first. Then contact Patrick or Dominick on 0420 211 202.

Report any incident, injury, near miss, or reportable event immediately by phone, then document it in the app within 24 hours. Incidents include:

  • Injury to a participant or worker
  • Medication errors
  • Abuse or neglect — actual or alleged
  • Aggressive or threatening behaviour
  • Near misses
  • Any reportable incident under the NDIS Act

You will never be penalised for reporting in good faith.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Participant information is strictly confidential. You must never disclose participant details to anyone outside Carevina without written consent.

  • Never discuss participants on social media or in public
  • Only access information relevant to the support you're delivering
  • Report any suspected privacy breach immediately
  • Confidentiality obligations continue after employment ends

Carevina complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the NDIS Act 2013.

Manual Handling & Safe Work Practices

Your health and safety is important to us. Never attempt to lift or transfer a participant without proper training and approved equipment.

  • Use mechanical aids where provided
  • Maintain safe posture — bend knees, keep back straight
  • Assess the environment before any physical task
  • If a task feels unsafe, stop and contact Carevina
  • Report any workplace injury or near miss immediately
  • Follow food safety practices when preparing meals
Participant Rights & NDIS Code of Conduct

As an NDIS worker you must comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct. You must:

  • Act with respect for individual rights to self-determination
  • Respect participant privacy
  • Provide supports in a safe and competent manner
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and transparency
  • Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to abuse, neglect, and exploitation
  • Take all reasonable steps to prevent sexual misconduct

If a participant raises a complaint, listen respectfully and notify Patrick or Dominick promptly.

Upload your compliance documents. Items marked Required must be uploaded before you can be rostered for shifts.
